Board members from the Internet industry and Government representatives will gather to recognise the industry's achievements over the past year.
The ISPAs scheme is renowned for its independence and objectivity, reinforced for the fourth year by ISPA's research partner Epitiro. ISPA commissioned Epitiro to conduct tests and monitor the Internet services of entrants in the ISP Division over a three-month period. Following analysis of the data, the shortlists were selected for the coveted awards in the ISP Division.Labels: biscit-broadband, business-broadband, general-broadband-news, nildram-broadband, ntl-broadband, ntl-telewest-broadband, orange-broadband, telewest-broadband, tiscali-broadband, virgin-broadband

Nildram broadband gets Which? thumbs up
Nildram once again achieves high praise for its broadband services in the latest survey from independent review magazine Which? The magazine’s Best Buy survey of Internet service providers (ISPs) places Nildram fourth, following a very high customer satisfaction rating of 77 per cent and top marks for customer service. Nildram also scores above average for connection speed and reliability, technical support and ease of set-up.
Which? reviewed more than 50 different packages from the top eight ISPs. Of the three leading uncapped broadband packages, Nildram’s Broadband 500 beats its rivals on price, offering 512Kbps at only £19.99 per month. For those who prefer a capped download limit to keep monthly costs down, Broadband 2gO Lite came top of Nildram’s capped product set with a super-fast 8Mbps service for only £13.99 a month.
Sean Stephenson, Nildram’s Managing Director, comments, “We are delighted to be rated fourth in the top eight ISPs in the Which? survey. Independent surveys like these are important to the industry and we thank our customers for taking part. We always welcome direct feedback, as well as seeing how our company fairs in the market.”

Nildram 8Mb broadband trial - exchanges doubled
Nildram has more than doubled the number of exchanges included in its 8Mb broadband trial, enabling even more businesses to upgrade to a high-speed service and benefit from technologies such as voice calls over the Internet and remote working. As part of the BT Max programme, successful uptake of the faster broadband has lead to the increase of available exchanges from 25 to 53.
With most of the current services running on 1Mb or 2Mb, Nildram is now able to extend its capabilities and provide customers with the latest must-have technologies. As the trial now incorporates business packages, companies can benefit from the super-fast 8Mb service, enabling them to send and receive large files, have faster access to information for all employees and cut costs whilst increasing productivity.
“As faster and faster speeds are becoming available, this is such an exciting time for us and our users,” comments Sean Stephenson, managing director, Nildram. “By extending our services we hope to be offering speeds of up to 24Mb later in the year. This is fantastic news for our customers who are getting access to applications and technologies that faster broadband brings.”
As part of the trial, Nildram aims to ensure that existing DSL services can be upgraded to higher speeds, initially 8Mb, without changes to the configuration.
