freedom2surf Meets Consumer Demand With Entry Level Broadband Product

freedom2surf, has today announced the availability of Connect Start, a new entry level broadband connection from just £12.99 a month. Connect Start is ideal for consumers looking for a low cost product allowing them to email and surf the internet at speeds of up to 8Mbit.

Despite podcasts and music/video downloads being the latest internet crazes there is still a large percentage of consumers that demand a very light but speedy internet connection. freedom2surf.s Connect Start product has a capacity of 0.5 GB, allowing UK consumers to fulfil their basic online requirements such as; email, booking flights and holidays and internet banking.

Richard Manly, sales and marketing director, freedom2surf explained; .Today broadband is available to all, but with so many complicated products on the market, it is hard for consumers to decipher which is the best one for them. From speaking with our customers we have discovered that many consumers only require a broadband connection for simple surfing and information gathering. Connect Start is designed for these consumers and is priced accordingly to meet their low usage demands..

Consumers are a growing audience for freedom2surf and throughout 2006 we will be focusing on delivering products that meet their differing internet requirements. The launch of Connect Start and the price reduction of our current portfolio products; Connect Home and Connect Plus, demonstrates our commitment to supporting UK consumers with flexible, reliable and cost effective broadband solutions,. continued Manly.

freedom2surf.s Connect Start product will be available immediately on either a monthly or annual contract. Consumers can benefit from the flexibility of a monthly contract from just £12.99 a month and an activation fee of £49.99 or alternatively £15.99 and free activation for an annual contract. In addition to launching Connect Start, freedom2surf has also announced that it has waived the activation fee on its Connect Home and Connect Plus products which have also moved to a flat monthly fee of £19.99 and £24.99 respectively.

For current freedom2surf customers, the bonus scheme for recommending a friend has increased from £10 to £15. There are no restrictions on this, enabling freedom2surf customers to obtain credit on their account for every successful recommendation they make.
