MetroNet are part of
Parbin Ltd a long established ISP in the UK offering Internet services since
1996. With a broad product range, including unique services such as Port995,
Just The Name and Pay As You Host, MetroNet serves thousands of customers with
connectivity, domain names, email and web hosting and is well versed in
delivering innovative and customer driven Internet solutions.
Our
offices are based in Harrow, NW London with our Data Centre located within
Docklands in Central London. This Data Centre houses our core servers and is
where we terminate our infrastructure including our own direct 'fat-pipes' into
BT's ADSL network.
Our Internet links (otherwise referred to as Backbone
or IP transit) are provided by a number of Tier 1 providers both directly and
indirectly via aggregation points further adding to resilience in our efforts
to provide the best in connectivity, uptime and low latency. Currently this
backbone connectivity utilises Level3, KPN and ClaraNet as well as direct
peering with many UK and European ISPs, operating at BGP4 level and providing
combined connectivity exceeding 1Gbps.
We are members of Internet
Domain Registrars Nominet and OpenSRS allowing us to register and manage domain
names for customers directly. We are also members of RIPE the European body
responsible for the allocation and management of IP addresses and therefore are
able to serve customers fully with regards to their IP addressing needs.
ADSL
ADSL is about speed and 'always' being connected to
the Internet. No more waiting around for web pages to download or the hours it
used to take to download software and dialling up each time you wanted to send
and receive email. With ADSL its better, faster and it could be
cheaper!
What's more an ADSL connections means there's no more waiting
your turn to get on to the Net, with no engaged tones, and you can be connected
to the Net as well as make normal voice calls - on the same line at the same
time!
We can now offer you a choice of no less than 14 ADSL packages
with speeds from 512Kbps up to 2Mbps. As we all as standard 'unmetered'
accounts with flat rate charges we are also able to offer - exclusively - the
UK's first pay-as-you-go (or 'metered') Broadband packages with unique cost
capping. All our packages can be used for Home and Business use. What's more
there is no port restriction, no usage capping and no speed throttling on our
network.
