What
is ADSL?
ADSL is the name for the technology used to provide
Broadband. It stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. It is a form of
Internet connection in which the bandwidth available for downstream connection
is significantly larger than for upstream. So users benefit from the increased
bandwidth available when downloading information (i.e. when Internet surfing or
downloading files from the net,) which makes it ideal for both residential or
business users. ADSL is a fast, stable, always on, unmetered connection, which
means that it can be used as often as you like, for as long as you like, for a
fixed monthly fee. Because it is always on, it totally eliminates the need to
dial up, meaning that the possibility of experiencing connectivity problems is
dramatically reduced.
KeConnect Broadband is available with download
speeds of 512k, 1Mb and 2Mb. This makes the service many times faster than a
56k modem dial up or even a 128k ISDN connection. The upload speed is up to
250K whichever service you choose. So the faster the connection you choose, the
faster you will be able to download information and receive emails.
Which KeConnect Broadband package is the right one for
me?
If you are a single user, operating from 1 PC, sign up for one
of our Single User Broadband packages. This will give you a 512k or 1mb ADSL
connection for your home and up to 5 separate @keme.co.uk email addresses so
that the whole family can benefit from the new service. As the KeConnect
Broadband service can be installed on an existing analogue line, there will be
no additional line rental to pay, just one fixed monthly fee for all your
Internet call charges. If you wish to connect a Network of users, you can
choose from the following range of packages: Network Broadband 500 Network
Broadband 1000 Network Broadband 2000 These packages will allow all your users
to benefit from Broadband Internet access straight to their desktops via one
single connection. Please note: Not everyone can get ADSL, and some users will
be limited to a 512k service because of the length between their phone line and

Commerce Account to give you a complete business package, including ADSL
access, domain hosting, webspace and email facilities. For individual email
