solutions using Virtual Private Network technologies, to global roaming

IFB's ethos is to provide a range of services based on proven technologies,
supported with accredited technical assistance.
Broadband
IFB's broadband is the fast and convenient way
to utilise the Internet. It provides speedy access that's ideal for dedicated
or heavy Internet users. ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) transforms
an existing telephone line into a high-speed line capable of carrying data at
up to forty times the speed of a conventional modem at a fixed annual charge.
This high-speed, easy to install access allows you to receive emails
almost instantly, view and download information on the World Wide Web quickly,
listen to music or watch streaming video in real time and much more!
SDSL
IFB's SDSL is the fast and convenient way to utilise
the Internet. It provides speedy access that's ideal for dedicated or heavy
Internet users. SDSL is similar to a broadband ADSL implementation in that it
utilises a simple pair of copper wires to the nearest enabled telephone
exchange for connection. However, unlike ADSL, SDSL offers the same speed for
both uploads and downloads to and from the Internet. To enable this, the line
is dedicated to data transfer and therefore telephone calls cannot be made on
it as is possible with ADSL.
This high-speed, easy to install access
allows you to receive emails almost instantly, view and download information on
the World Wide Web quickly, transmit large volumes of data and much more at at
fixed cost. Even though SDSL can in theory match Internet Leased Lines (ILL)
for data transfer rates of up to 2Mbit/s it is not an exact like for like
product due to the 10:1 contention ratio (1:1 for ILL) and the lack of a true
Service Level Agreement which can be applied to IFB's ILL services of 99.98%
uptime.
