Claranet United Kingdom
Founded in the UK in 1996 by
Charles Nasser, Claranet has since become one of the most successful
independent Internet Service Providers in Europe. Heading up Claranet UK is
Steve Rawlinson. Through the acquisition of Netscalibur UK in July 2003,
Claranet is now the UK’s largest non-telco Internet Service Provider to
business. The acquisition confirms Claranet’s position as one of
Europe’s leading Internet firms and is the largest such deal to have
occurred in the UK in the past year. Claranet won “Best Business ISP”
in the ISPA (Internet Service Provider Association) Awards in both 2002 and

Self-install solutions
Our self-install solutions
support download speeds of 512K, 1Mb and 2Mb. The amount of bandwidth will
depend on how many users will be connected simultaneously (contention rate) and
the speed of access needed by the customer.
Our solutions include the
standard connection service plus the following: Domain name registration or
transfer and hosting, 15 password protected POP3 mailboxes or SMTP mail feed
(includes static IP addresses), an unlimited dial up account supporting speeds
up to 128Kbps and 80Mb commercial webspace.

On February 20th 2003 Claranet won the
“Best Business ISP” award at the 5th Internet Services
Providers’ Association (ISPA) awards for the second year running, beating
tough competition from Easynet, Energis, Pipex and BT. The ISPA commented that:

Internet Magazine - Best ISP on the Planet 2002
Claranet
was awarded the accolade of ‘Best ISP on the Planet’ for 2002 by
Internet Magazine. Claranet gave the best all-round performance to go one
better than our runners-up placing last year. Internet Magazine commented
