BTA broadband
BTA broadband
Established in 1994, we
have spent over ten years helping our clients to harness the full potential and
power of their IT systems. We've worked with them and for them in providing
smarter and more cost-effective IT, pushing the boundaries to best suit their
needs.
With a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the business we're in,
we create and maintain IT systems, networks and Internet solutions for a wide
range of clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries.
Our remit
falls into three main areas: IT consultancy & support, Internet services
(ISP) and web application development.
BTA Services
At BTA
we understand Information Technology (IT). We can help you plan, source,
install and maintain the hardware and software that's right for now and the
future. We can make sure that you can communicate with each other and the
world. We can put your technology to work for your business, whatever your
size, whatever your issues.
I.T. Support and Consultancy
services If your existing IT has become a barrier rather than a benefit,
or you need to expand or change to accommodate new requirements, or you just
need a helping hand to ensure things keep working, BTA can help you find the
answers you are looking for. Our consultancy services can help you find the
answers you are looking for, whilst our on-site and remote support services
will ensure that your business keeps running. By combining our independence,
wide-ranging experience and flexibility alongside key industry partnerships
including HP/Compaq, Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen and British
Telecom we can provide the right solution for your business' individual
needs.
Internet Services Being connected to the Internet
and thus to customers, suppliers, partners and even your own staff
has become a vital part of the modern business. At BTA we understand
that business users are not the same as consumers and need a reliable yet
flexible service, one which is both cost-effective and in the event of trouble
get you up and running again quickly. BTA provides a full range of Internet
connectivity and hosting solutions including broadband, dial-up and mobile
roaming, email and web hosting, VPN and security solutions, plus bespoke server
and network hosting.
Web Development Web applications which
integrate web sites with business IT systems and databases can streamline costs
and speed up service delivery. From fully-functioning e-commerce sites to
partner and intranet portals to faceless web 'engines' which link disparate
systems together, BTA Development can build the right solution for
you.
Business Broadband
Broadband provides businesses and
home workers with high-speed, always-on low-cost internet access. With
broadband there is no 'dial up', just continual access. Businesses can remain
connected to the internet at all times allowing email to flow easily and web
browsing to happen without the world-wide-wait. Broadband also allows home
workers to be connected to their office networks and email, as well as the
Internet, all day without incurring the volatile call charges associated with
dial-up or ISDN, and finally makes practical the ability to access central
company servers and databases fast and effectively. BTA provides a range of
broadband services tailored to suit businesses and home office workers:
ADSL
ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) works over
a normal BT telephone line and offers download speeds from ten to potentially
forty times the speed of a standard 56k dial-up modem. With ADSL, you can be
online 24x7 and still use the telephone line to make and receive calls and
faxes.
Unlike many other providers, BTA provides an unlimited, uncapped
service*; we do not limit the amount you download in any month period, allowing
you to be free from the worry that your Internet connectivity will be suddenly
restricted or incur an unexpected extra 'usage' bill at the end of the month -
things which a busy business do not need to happen. With an unlimited service,
you can easily budget costs and know your service will be available when you
need it. In addition, our standard one month contract does not tie you in to a
service you may grow out of and as standard we include at least one static IP
address to help support services such as local email or web servers or
VPNs.
SDSL
For businesses in major metropolitan areas
requiring more 'oomph' from their uploads as well as their downloads, SDSL
(Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) provides a balanced service offering the
same speed in both directions available in speeds of 250Kbps, 500Kpbs,
1Mbs and 2Mbs making it ideal for businesses which need to send as much
information as they receive, or need to run VPN's (virtual private networks)
between offices or to home workers.
