Smashes ADSL Barrier With Launch of Migration Trial
Freedom2Surf
(www.freedom2surf.net), one of the UKs leading independent ISPs, has
today announced it is trialling a service that allows customers to migrate from
any ISP, regardless of whether they are on Datastream or IPStream. Internet
users on Datastream connections, such as those with Tiscali and Virgin, will
for the first time be able to migrate their connection to Freedom2Surf, without
interruption to their Internet connection.
The Freedom2Surf trial widens
choice for Internet users by smashing through the barriers to service
migration, making it possible for customers of both Datastream and IPStream
services to migrate easily. In the past, customers had to go through a lengthy
process of cancelling their ADSL line and waiting up to ten days for new line
activation.
Freedom2Surf has also announced an extension to the free
re-grade offer so that customers can continue to choose the most suitable
Internet service for them and switch over without charge until the end of May
2005. In addition, migrating customers can also take advantage of being
simultaneously upgraded to the best possible speed up to 2 Mbits.
Chris
Panayis, managing director of Freedom2Surf, commented: The launch of the
migration trial will extend choice for customers searching for the best deal on
broadband. We believe that Freedom2Surf have some of the most competitively
priced packages available and we look forward to welcoming new customers
migrating from Datastream services. As an added bonus for Freedom2Surf
customers, we have extended the re-grade offer for a couple of extra months.
This offer has proved particularly popular with our customers and, while other
ISPs continue to charge users to change connections, Freedom2Surf have already
re-graded tens of thousands of users without charge.
