Mailbox Internet leads
with new Broadband diagnostics

Mailbox Internet leads with
new Broadband diagnostics (30/08/05)
Taking the lead in ADSL
innovation with the introduction of two new DSL diagnostic tools, Mailbox
Internet is the first ISP in the country to allow customers and resellers to
diagnose problems with DSL circuits through a friendly, easy-to-use web
interface.
The diagnostics system operates 24/7 and offers two types of
test on both ADSL and SDSL circuits. The first provides a quick look at the
broadband service and ensures that the customer equipment is switched on and
logged in.
The second One shot check provides information on
physical, ADSL and IP layers of a given line. This is a quick and easy way of
conducting a full range of tests in just one operation from any PC with an
internet connection.
This is a great two-way win says Erik
Carlson, Managing Director of Mailbox Internet. It enables our customers
to conduct fault diagnostics on Mailbox lines, reducing lead-times and support
overheads both here and at the customer premises.
Several
ISPs have attempted to provide the integration that these tools
demand continued Mr Carlson, but I believe we are the first to have
cracked the problem and delivered a fully working system.
Mailbox
intends to make customised versions of the diagnostics available to other
ISPs.
