Over-the-phone
broadband availability check

Instant over-the-phone
broadband availability check (30/08/05)
A next-generation ADSL tool
has been announced by Mailbox Internet. The completely new dial-in ADSL
availability checker allows anybody to pick up a telephone and receive
information about ADSL availability.
To use the checker just dial 0870
833 5155 and follow the instructions.
A typical test takes well under a
minute. If ADSL is not available the system provides additional information
about plans for enabling broadband in the local exchange.
The tool can
even detect the presence of other services on the line that might affect ADSL
availability, such as ISDN or an existing ADSL facility. Users can also test
other telephone lines not just the one they are calling from, and can
use mobile phones to do it.
This checker gives the consumer advance
knowledge of availability and makes a great sales tool for Internet Service
Provider staff.
Said developer Chris Lacy-Hulbert. Anyone with a
phone can use it. It beats logging on to slower website systems
especially when most users dont have a broadband link to do it. I keep
the checker number 0870 833 5155, as AACheck in my mobile
and I can do a check for anyone anywhere on the spot.
